Another Beautiful Camino Day

The weather cooperated again today. Even the clouds and wind arrived at the right time to keep us cool as the day heated up.

Our bodies are adjusting to the walk and the aches and pains that come and go. We will be so fit by the time we are done.

The Camino does seem to have magic about it. This morning we had a glorious sunrise and mid morning a rainbow appeared overhead. The countryside continues to be awe inspiring.

Our albergue in Estella is interesting. The hospitaleras are wonderful. Our bunk beds are squeezed very closely together so we hope that no one snores tonight. The lower bunk bed has about two feet of head space (head banging distance) and there is no ladder to get to the top bunk. One gentleman noticed that there were slats missing and his mattress was sinking to the floor.  We do hear that they serve a good breakfast.

Tomorrow will probably be our longest day to date so wish us well.

  1. Great shot of you Judi. Are you staying in Estella at Albergue San Miguel? That's where we served as hospitaleros. Enjoy. Dayton and Karen

  3. Thanks for the updates. Your optimism is inspiring, especially when it comes to the lack of stars in rating your accommodations!! No nearby Hilton's?.sigh!! Take care. I hope you were able to sleep and your breakfast made up for the hardships.
