Day One - An Uphill Day

It was a tough uphill day today but we are not complaining. It was a short day and we are now all showered and snug in our room and it is only 1:00pm.  After  3 hectic days of travel and time changes we have a whole afternoon of relaxation.

Orisson is a beautiful  place in the mountains. We saw many farms, horses, sheep, and heard cow bells. There were blackberries growing along the roads, much to our delight. We just had to be careful picking them as they were on the edge of a steep precipice and one false move would get a person down the mountain very quickly.

We are going to have a restful afternoon in preparation for our 17 km uphill meander tomorrow.
