France Day One

What a day! We were up at 2:45 am in order to catch a very early flight to Bairritz. We then made our way to St. Jean Pied de Port via bus and train.  We are staying at a great refuge and the three of us are sharing a room.

We spent the day exploring the town and were lucky enough to see a wedding procession as well as a parade. Despite being exhausted from lack of sleep we are still on the go. The smells wafting up from the kitchen telll us that we are in for real treat for dinner.
